Volunteer activities

Beikokudo was founded by a family with a long history of volunteer activities in the local area. Yuki Henneberry has been reading books as a volunteer to a number of local schools for years. Steve Henneberry has also joined when his university teaching schedule allowed for it. The Henneberry children have also assisted at times. As a multicultural family in rural Japan we have felt it is our responsibility to raise awareness of cross-cultural communication and respect. We will continue with these volunteer activities as we at Beikokudo feel that it is an important service to provide the community we call home.
